Matthew Connors (b. 1976, Port Washington, NY) received a BA in English Literature from the University of Chicago in 1998 and an MFA in Photography from Yale University in 2004.

He has exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Tokyo, Milan, Stockholm and Madrid. His work can be found in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York and the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven.

He was awarded the Virginia Center for Creative Arts Fellowship (2011), the MacDowell Colony Fellowship (2010), the William Hicks Faculty Fellowship from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design (2008), and the Alice Kimball English Travelling Fellowship from the Yale School of Art (2004).

Since 2004 he has been teaching in the Photography Department at the Massachusetts College of Art & Design in Boston where he holds the rank of Associate Professor. He lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
